Day After Tomorrow

Hello guys!

Day after tomorrow is "important" day :) We are going to compete in winner class in obedience! I don't expect anything of that competition. I only hope that Niji will do her best and will be on good mode (happy like always). The result isn't important because we haven't practiced enough. There is a minimal chance to have 1st result, but I'm quite sure that we will really need more practice ;) We are going to some training days where will be trainers to help us (world champion obedience trainer on other day and obedience judge on other). Hopefully we will get some good advices to our problems :) We have also agilitytraining day.

We haven't done anything special since last writing. Nepo's right hindleg have bothered him little. There is a muscel witch is "jammed". I have massaged him a lot and the leg is better now. Well untill yesterday. Nepo jumped over a trench and somehow injured the leg. He was really painfull yesterday evening and didn't even eat! This morning he did ate with really good apetite! That is a really good sing :) Nepo have to rest couple of days now and hopefully the leg will cure after that. He uses the leg now, but don't use it properly yet.

I have finally got some grip to myself and done some tracks for Niji. Her nose is sharp like always :) Her tracking style is good on field and in forest. Hopefully we will compete in tracking on next spring :) We have to improve our obedience before that and train tracking some more.

I almost forgot! Niji did get her first certificate from our latest show!! :D Two to go and here we need also working results before she can be a Finnish champion ;)

Here is some photos of Nepo and Niji :)

How things are going :)

I'm sorry that I have (again!!) forgotten this blog :( Much have happened since last writing, but I try write all important things here :)

Nepo from day before yesterday. He tryies to catch annoying flyes :)

First of all, I didn't get study place, but I'm not sad of it. I have other plans for my future, but now I'm just looking for job. It's hard to find anything here. I worked in veterinarian as a helper one month and it was so nice! I't wasn't an ordinary job but on-the-job learning thing :) I could work on veterinarian (as helper) with my education, but because thing is so complicated here (veterians works under county, who desite the workers), I don't have any chance to get a job there :( I loved the place and the people. Thanks alot guys! :D

We have done some training with Niji :) We have trained agility (especially waving), obedience (lots of things) and tracking (okey, one ;) ). We have obedience trial on september and then we will debut in winner class.. I hope we can get some moves ready before that :) But, Nijis doing looks promising!

Two weeks ago Niji were shown in a dog show :) She got very good review. It doesn't matter what my dogs get from the shows. We go there because of fun. Our next and last on this year, show is on next week. Hopefully we see some friends on there :) We have a needed results for a working champion title, so after we get results from working dog trials on some day, Niji can became a working champ ;)

Nepo and Niji had spend almost the hole summer together. Nepo is in perfect shape and Niji, in other hand, have been training her muscles ;) The dogs have swum alot on this summer. Nepo loves when somebody throw a stick to the water so he can bring it back. Niji just loves to hang around. I'm sure that Niji would be really good water rescue dog, because she is worried about swimmers. Unfortunately we don't have any training groups here :(

I planned that I would go to a tracking trial with Niji on this year, but it seems that there isn't any competitions near by and the second reason is that we don't have practiced much. Hopefully we can go to the tracking trial on next spring :)

Koukkis and Tohru are doing well also :) Both have grown much. Tohru is very delicate and Koukkis, well, is like a Garfield. Tohru isn't so shy anymore and he loves when someone pets him :) Here is some pictures of the boys :)

I got a new layout to our webpages. I will do english version soon! Here is the address www.nestnuuka.net

Winner class, here we come!

Nijis season didn't start before our obedience competition, so we take part to open class. Niji did really good job in competition! We got 1st prize (184 out of 200, HP and 1st place), so now we have ticket to winner class :) We started to practice new moves wich we need on winner class. Hopefully we are ready to compete in winner class on this autumn, but I have decided not to hurry with obedience. I want to be sure, that Niji have learned the moves before competing.

I got invitation to examination from one of the schools where I did gravitated. I'm so excited for this! If the examination goes well, I get in :) The school is located near Tampere wich is one of my favorite citys even so I love to live here in Kainuu.

Here is some photos from our competition:

Waiting

It's been really interesting weathers here O.o At one moment sun shine and after five minutes there were raining. Well, it's good thing to have rainy days. I somehow like of rain. It's somehow refreshing :)

I'm waiting many things at the moment. Nijis season is coming soon, Mothers day is on followin sunday, I'm waiting call from vet (I asked job from there for summer and it's really promising!!) and I'm waiting monday, because then I can call to the university of applied sciences, where I have study place waiting for me. Well, I'm going to cancel it, because I'm not interested of it :P I'm going to get new study place. I have three schools on my mind. Hopefully I can get to one of them :) I'm going to follow my real interests and hopefully I can graduate for animal attendant! :)

Here's some pictures of Niji and cats:

The little belgians "quiet power"

Finally my fever have gone! :D I'm so tired of staing still. It's really frustrating and I felt so much better when I went to a walk with Niji. I'm sure Niji was really, really happy of this! :D I saw how she was enjoying herself when she tracked tracks of other dogs and watched birds on the lake. Only negative thing is that I have to go to the work tomorrow :P But because of that fever I have only three working days on this week! 8) I know it's not cool say that, but I'm still tired of being ill :P

I went to the agilitytraining with Niji today. We practice with our friend who also have groenendaelgirl named Tinkku :)

Niji was so happy because of agility. She loves it and it's good change for obedience also. We practiced waves and did some basic trains about "moving ahead without handler" (I don't know the word for this, but I hope you got it).

When Niji do her jobs, she has some kind of quiet power in her. Kind of she focus all action to the concentration. She won't overdrive, never. She is always so calm and somehow self-assured when she is not working, but when training starts, her flame of power catch fire, but her calmness won't change. She is so lovely, when she do her work royally :)

Here's some photos of Nijis agility:

Niji heels. She looks somehow like her father in this photo ... 8)

After training we went to the shore.  It was so nice weather even so it was cool and cloudy :)

Here's latest photos of Tohru. Isn't he sweet? :D

Princess Fluff and feverish owner

Yep. This is so my luck. I got fever so we couldn't do anything on this weekend. We had to pass agilitytraining :/ We moved our training day to beginning of next week.

Because Niji were bored because I couldn't take her to long walks, I decide to do some tracks to her so she could use her brain for something else than bother the cats (she tryed play with them, but was too wild to them) or carry toys to me with "please, play with me" -face.

I did four tracks to her on this weekend. The latest one was Nijis best tracking so far. She were really good! :D

We did some obedience too today. It wasn't anything special. Niji did shine on heeling and did well on other moves too. We practiced to the obedience trials. I did enter her to the obedience trial today.. The trial is going to take place after two weeks. I hope we can get our first 1st prize from there :)

Cats are doing well also. Tohru and Koukkis are bestfriends now! :D Tohru is shy to me and he don't like to be on lap. It's okey by me, because this is his character :) Theres some photos of the boys from yesterday:

Long time no seen!

I have totally forgotten this blog! :o I did write here this morning, but somehow I deleted hole text... Now I try again :) And I will try to write to this blog often. It's a promise ;)

There's lots to cach up with! Lots have happened since last writing. Niji and I moved to our own apartment and we got new member to our family :) A cat named Kapteeni Koukku alias Koukkis (Kapteeni Koukku = Captain Hook) has been our buddy since last September. His name comes from his hooktail :) He is 10-months-old now. He is like a Carfield himself: Loves food and attention.

Niji didn't get TK2-titel on last autumn, because we didn't get any 1st prices. We have had long pause on training on winter. We didn't do anything with obedience. Now we have started to train with new motivation and Niji almost shines when she is working! :) She is so passioned with her job and I'm so proud of her  My little girl isn't so little anymore. She have grown much by mentally.

Niji have been in some dogshows, but we haven't get any good results yet because her hairless ;) In showrings Niji is very easy to handle. She is so calm and waves her tail almost hole time. Next time we are going to dog show possibly on next august.

Nijis elbows, hips, back, shoulders and eyes have checked out on March. The official results came out on this week: Hips A/A and elbows 0/0. In Finland only x-ray pictures of hips and elbows goes to Finnish Kennelclub where other vet checks the pictures and says the official result. Vet, who x-raid Niji, said that her back and shoulders are looking really good :) Eyes were clear too!

Nepo lives with my parents on nowdays. It's better for him to live on countryside than here on apartment building. Nepo is fine too! :) He is really enjoing himself and I can see it everytime when I visit him. Nepo haven't totally forgotten me eather ;D Nepo will join us as soon as I get a apartment where I can took him. There's photo of Niji and Nepo on March:

Yesterday we got a new kitten. His name is Tohru :) He is really shy, but I'm sure he will open a little after he settles down. He needs just a little time :) Koukkis weren't so happy with newcomer, but tried play with kitten today ;D Kitten didn't answer to Koukkis's playfulness, but I'm sure Tohru will play with him after couple days. Niji, our everybodys friend, was so happy because of Torhu. She tried to sniff kitten, but Tohru just "growled" to her. Niji tried to play with kitten, too, but Tohrus answer were the same. Poor Niji  Theres some photos of Tohru (and Koukkis):

I have planned some trials for Niji to this year ;) There has to be aims, so I can plan trainings better. We started to train agility more "seriously", so we can think some agilitystarts to autumn. Tracking trial is this years main goal. Niji is my first tracking dog, so I hope we can get some good results from trials :) Ofcource we are going to try get that TK2 (3x 1st price from openclass on obedience) on this summer, but it's not important to get :) I'm happy, if we can get that tracking title (JK1) ;)

I think I have now wrote all what I have to :) Theres some pictures from today on Niji:

Tomorrow we are going to start our tracking season.. We have agilitytraining, too! :)
